Feeding the troops on the road …
Everyone in tour catering and Rock n Roll will know that this is definitely a hard nut to crack. The artists and crew are away from their family and loved ones for months at a time and on a tour bus everyone pretty much lives on top of each other.
The one thing that is therefore essential is the need to keep everyone motivated with some great food and a few creature comforts. Two and half years on the road with Cirque du Soleil, the world’s biggest circus, certainly gave us a hard and fast introduction to the world of touring and life on the road.
We have catered in just about every European arena and country and have a great understanding of provisioning abroad and dealing with the intricacies of local crew, customs and carnets. We would be lying if we said it is easy but nothing much beats the lure of the open road.
