The personal data we collect from you includes:

  • Enquiries or feedback you leave, including your email address if you contact Red Radish.
  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used.
  • Information on how you use the site, using cookies.
Where Your Data is Stored

We store your data on secure servers in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Keeping your data secure

Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit.
Any data you send is at your own risk.
We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.

Job Applications

If you use our online application system we will ask you for your personal details including name and contact details. We will also ask you to upload your CV.

Conditional Offer

Upon a conditional offer of employment we will ask you for extra information so that we can carry out pre-employment checks. These are carried out using a data processor (detailed below). You must complete pre-employment checks before starting work for Red Radish.

Data Processors

Data processors are third parties who provide elements of our recruitment service for us. Once provided with an offer we will collect additional information using Jot Forms, an online form provider. They cannot do anything with your personal data unless we have instructed them to do so. They will not share your data with any other organisation apart from us. They will hold and retain your information securely.

For some vacancies we advertise through a third party recruiter. They will collect the application information and might ask you to complete a work preference questionnaire which is used to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for, the results of which are assessed by recruiters. Information collected by a third party recruiter is normally retained on our behalf for 12 months following the end of our agreement.

How Long is Your Data Held For

If you are a successful applicant, the information you provide during the application process will be retained by us as follows:

  • Data relating to PAYE & statutory payments: 6 years after leaving the organisation.
  • Personnel files: 6 years after leaving the organisation.
  • Names and dates of employment: 6 years for the purpose of references.

If you are an unsuccessful applicant, the information you provide during the application process will be retained by us for a 6 month period. At the end of that period, your data is deleted or destroyed (unless we need to retain it for longer to exercise or defend any legal claims).

Right to Object

You have the right to object to our use of your personal data. If you inform us that you no longer wish for us to process your personal data or to be approached, Red Radish will move your information to a separate file. Your data will no longer be used for the above mentioned purposes.

You can request this via [email protected]. Please state clearly that your request concerns a privacy matter and more specifically that you wish to exercise your right to object.

Withdrawal of consent

You can withdraw your consent for to us to process your personal data at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing activities based on consent before
its withdrawal. If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer process your personal data.

Access to personal information

Red Radish tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ to [email protected]. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • Give you a description of it.
  • Tell you why we are holding it.
  • Tell you who it could be disclosed to.
  • Let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
