Red Radish TV Location Catering has definitely got the X-Factor!

It’s always nice to get a call from a major television company that requires some TV location catering, but when that call comes from Thames TV and the gig is X-Factor it was all the more sweeter for our mobile chefs and front-of-house crew. As luck would have it one of our catering trailers was on a film location close by and had a day off, (or so they thought) and plans were soon put in place for them to pack up ready to head off for a mega-early start where they would cater for the crew and talent at ‘Judge’s Houses’. The shoot caterer had to be on location as 6:30am for a very early breakfast call at ‘Lakes by Yoo’ deep in the glorious Cotswolds countryside. It was only a very short one-day gig but we were happy to get involved even though there were some horrendously tight turns for our 21’ commercial catering trailer.

The day started off with a lovely traditional full-English breakfast and the setting up of a great craft services tables just to make sure the team had plenty of caffeine and nibbles to get them through to lunch. Our shoot was at the ‘home’ of the boy’s team leader, celebrity Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw and the day turned into a seriously long day of catering as Nick eventually whittled his way down to the lads, Seann Miley Moore (above) , Mason Noise and Che Chesterman, who made it through to Grimmy’s final three.
